Do you have a problem with keeping your strings from going dead or just prefer the sound of live strings. Well if you do then I’ve been using a product you might want to take a look at and try out yourself. The product is called Fast Fret from GHS. I’ve posted a link to where you can purchase this product at the top of this review below the accompanying video.

GHS Fast Fret is a type of string cleaner for your guitar or bass. It helps to give your strings a longer lifespan, brighten the actual sound of your guitar, and it even helps with slides if you apply it to the back of your neck.

I’ve been using this stuff for several years now and I’ve had no problems what so ever with it. It works great and I’m personally a big fan of bright sounding strings especially for my rhythm guitar.

GHS Fast Fret comes with an applier, cloth to remove excess, and a container to store these things. To use the product all you have to do is open up the container, get the applier, and rub the applier onto your strings until your satisfied with the result. If you have any excess you can then use the supplied cloth and wipe it away.

Like I said earlier Fast Fret is also a string cleaner so you can even use it on old strings to help liven up the sound. I have done this on several occasions and even though this is no substitute for new strings it does help quite a bit.

Overall I really like this product. It’s inexpensive, works great, and best of all it lasts a long time. I’ve had the same one for over 3 years and it still works just the same. Definitely check out this product if your a guitarist/bassist who is adamant about keeping their strings clean or likes having bright sounding strings.

DrumTracker Finally Released!

DrumTracker comes from Toontrack, the creators of EzDrummer and Superior Drummer. It’s been a long time since it’s announcement and it has now finally been released to the public for both Mac and PC. The price of the software is $149 US.

So you may be wondering what DrumTracker is and why you might want it. DrumTracker is an easy to use audio to MIDI converter. What does this mean you may ask? It means that you can take a stereo track of drums, import it into DrumTracker and export MIDI notes to then trigger MIDI drum software such as EzDrummer, or Superior Drummer. You can also export a general MIDI track which will work with other software besides Toontrack. Yes, that means you don’t even technically need a Firewire interface to record drums anymore unless your against the idea of virtual drums. Not that a Firewire interface isn’t handy to have around a studio.

Now, why would you want to do such a thing as convert your drums to MIDI? You would do this in cases where your drum recordings are less than desirable sounding and you don’t have the drummer around to re-record the audio. Or you would use it in the case that the drummer isn’t the greatest performer in the world and just can’t nail that perfect recording. In that case DrumTracker would come in handy because you could convert his recorded drum tracks to MIDI and then easily quantize the MIDI notes to be on time but still sound natural, and then lastly run that final MIDI track through whatever virtual drum software you may like.

I’m definitely going to be checking out this software soon and Im curious to how well this software actually performs. New Limitless Studios Website Launched Today

We launched our new site today for the release of our videos going 720p HD. We spent quite a few days working on this site so hopefully you guys enjoy the end result. We have added a blog which is where we will be posting things such as deals we find as well as new and interesting things in the world of recording or technology. Also you can see on the left side bar there is a recent blog posts location which will automatically display up to 5 of our latest blog posts for easy viewing, and inside of the blog there is also a search bar where you can search for any blog posts that we have posted. Also you’ll notice that we added a reviews page for written reviews of products that we have used or owned. These are just a couple of the new things we will be introducing in the New Year. Like I said earlier we will be filming all our future videos in 720p High Definition so they will look great as well as sound great. We hope you enjoy these updates and there will be more to come so stay tuned. Later.

Youtube changes HD layout again.

Most of you know by now that Youtube has made quite a few changes over the past couple of months. First it was Youtube Live, then it was widescreen players, then they added 720p HD capabilities, and now they’ve changed the layout for when your watching an HD video. All of these things are great features to have, especially for the most popular video sharing site on the internet. Hopefully they will continue to add new things. Maybe we will see some Live streaming in the near future! We can only hope.

Blog Template Update

I have been working on the custom blog template for around 5 hours now, and I have set up the template to allow comments to be posted. I have set it up with links in the navigation bar at the top and I have fixed the issue with the template on IE. Overall there has been a lot of work done to this template today and I hope to be working on the search feature soon.

EDIT: I have added the search function so now you can search for any posts we have published.
