I have a Shure SM58 mic and sometimes when my band plays live I get shocked. How do I prevent this?

its a ground problem...
you got 2 solutions...

1: try to get a small XLR cabel and cut the wire that go on the Pin 1 of the connector

2: get a good old ''big afro pop filers '' over your mic !

Are you guys serious?

Do you know how dangerous this can be for the guy and your just making it light hearted? and making jokes?

It's such a dangerous serious problem!

It could either be the Mic lead, is your lead going into a stage box (Snake, or multi-core) on stage or into some form of input in your amp rack?

had this problem before and found the solution

Im not freaking out, and no, he might not die but it can cause alot of problems. If it is a grounding problem, and something goes seriously wrong. Bad things can happen. ive seen it.
